Sunday 21st December - Merry Christmas from the LFNS

Friday 19th December is the last street skate of 2009. There is NO Stroll on the 21st, so go out and that prezzy for the missus and not have the Christmas Eve panic like last year. We will be back on Friday 9th Jan for the LFNS and Sunday 11th Jan for the first Sunday Stroll. See you next year.

Friday 19th December - NEW - The Circle Line Skate

FRIDAY sees our second attempt at the annual Circle Line Skate. We head off from Hyde Park Corner to Victoria and then work our way round every Circle Line station to Sloane Square. It's further than a regular London Friday Night Skate (17 miles) so it goes a little faster but we get two breaks - one at Liverpool Street and another at Paddington. And this year not two but three Lead Marshals share the load: Sol, Bren and David. The Circle Line Skate is not a huge social experience, like Halloween or the Santa Stroll, but, for those who love the feel of tarmac under their wheels, it's one of the highlights of the year. Because it's a long skate, we try to leave promptly at 8.00.pm. Don't miss it!

Sunday 14th December - SantaSkate 2.0!

Owing to Saturday night's postponement of SantaSkate due to inclement weather, the Stroll will this week gracefully make way for SantaSkate attempt 2.0!

Assembly 2pm Sunday at the Wellington Arch, bring your Santa suit!

Remember suit pickup and SantaSkate party are still on this evening, Saturday 13 December, at The Victoria Public House on Strathearn Place, London, W2 2NH.

We're going a bit loopy with all the skates we've not been able to run, so this week we'll retry what we never started two weeks ago; a 9 mile route which goes round and round in little circles near the Park. Lead Marshal Christian promises lovely surfaces.

We've been east, we've been west, but we all know going down is best. This week we're going downtown to Clapham Common. If you've skated that way before, the chances are you took a different route, because lead marshal Rogetta told us we've only taken this route once before. So think of it as an old town doing new tricks, and join us for more than a boot full of Friday fun. We start at 8pm sharp, so please don't be late.
