Friday 4th July - Barnes on the Fourth of July |
London Friday Night Skate | | Pending
Fresh from the triumph of leading the skate to Barnes last week (see below), Brendan is intending to repeat the exercise for the benefit of those misguided enough to have been in France last Friday. This week we intend to have some marshals to help out. > Route details

| | | | Sunday 22nd June - One way to Richmond ParkOh dear, this time we're hunting Deer - in Richmond Park. Brothers and sisters, boys and girls, there may well be more than one way to make an omelette, but it turns out there really is only one way to Richmond. Yes yes yes, this weekend we're embarking on our second ONE-WAY Sunday Stroll of the year. Feel free to bring your camera, but in the interest of public safety, please leave your bows and arrows at home.
At around 9.4 miles, the route is just a little longer than most Sunday Strolls. So unless you feel like skating home alone, you might like to bring some light, clip-on-your-belt shoes, an Oyster card and perhaps a West London Phrase book. Sunglasses are optional, but this Sunday is the longest Sunday of the year so we expect to see a few shaded characters, and even a little sun cream going on. Woop woop, see you there. > Route details and Photos

| | | | Friday 13th June - The Paraskevidekatriaphobia SkateWatch out for black cats, avoid mirrors and ladders and, by all means, don't spill the salt.
Most people will probably have realized, this week's skate is on Friday the 13th, a date commonly associated with bad luck.
So, all day long, millions of superstitious skaters across the country will hold their breath anticipating misfortune, or, even worse, rain. Others will avoid leaving the house altogether, refusing to drive, shop or work on the ill-fated day.
But whether you're a true paraskevidekatriaphobe (a person with an irrational fear of Friday the 13th) or just mildly suspicious: Touch wood, cross your fingers, and pop that lucky rabbit’s foot in your pocket – and there will be an almost five-to-one chance that it won't rain at all that evening!
Half time will be at Joan St, just off Southwark Station, the route is 12.1 miles long. > Route details, Photos and video

Sunday 6th July - A stroll by the river Sunday Stroll | | PendingThis weekend we're starting out with a fabulous Sunday Stroll speed downhill along Exhibition Road, before continuing down south to see the Penguins. Well may be not, but we are taking a stroll along the south bank from Wandsworth Bridge to Battersea. The second half is a beautiful route along the waterfront. Don't miss it, unless you're a fish. In which case, watch out for the Penguins. > Route details |

NEWS
The One Way Stroll Is Back
Back by popular demand, One way destination Strolls begin this Sunday where we take you alll the way out East to Victoria Park. See some of last years Highlights to wet your appetite.
Stroll on film
Our friends from FSTarragona recently attended a Sunday Stroll and took some video footage. They've kindly allowed us to post the video here.
EasterSkate
A Big Belated Thank you to all of you who came and supported us on the Easterskate. We managed to run the Bunny Stroll eventually and much fun was had. An official video is being painstakingly editted to bring you not one, not two, not three, but four video angles and thumping soundtrack.
We're on Facebook
Over 250 of you have already started using our application. If you're an avid Facebook user and you want to keep up to date with the status of the coming skates each week then try out the new Facebook LFNS Skate Updates App.
Donations
The LFNSTM is STILL not asking for money over the web. If we were, it would say so here. But we aren't.
However, due to popular demand, we have created a donations account, whereby one off payments or regular contributions can be made, finally removing the need for our regular contributors to use cheque books and hard cash. Contact us if you require further details.
As always if you give money to anyone else claiming money on behalf of the regular Friday and Sunday streetskates in London it is not going to the LFNSTM. If in doubt just come and ask one of the marshals to point you in the right direction.
T-shirts
It's cold, it's dark, it's Winter! So why on earth would you want to buy a t-shirt? But if you do a limited number of official LFNSTM t-shirts are still available: get one now before the weather gets warm again.

WAP Update Service
Sometimes you can't get near a computer to find out whether the skate is on or not. We know, it's a nuisance.
So now you can use WAP to find out! Go to wap.lfns.co.uk on your Mobile
to see if we're going or whether the weather has beaten us.
We don't charge for this service - normal WAP connection costs apply.
